Janet Wright (Stafford) MS, OTR President and Founder Janet is the founder and president of Kidz Play Pediatrics. She founded the clinic in 2000 after working in the pediatric field for 13 years and mentoring under several Sensory Integration experts in the field.She received her undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1990 and her Master's degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2004, and is beginning work towards her Doctoral degree. She is qualified to administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) ®, has advanced training in Therapeutic Listening®, The Ready Approach®,Interactive Metronome® and The Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) ®.
Her expertise and areas of interest include Autism Spectrum and Sensory Processing Disorders, Sensory Deprivation and the post-institutionalized child, play skills, inclusion, and competency issues related to occupational therapy.
She serves on several advisory boards at both the state and national level.At the national level, she volunteers for the American Occupational Therapy Association and has served on several committees, including the Sensory Integration and Administration and Management Special Interest Sections. Presently she is Chairperson of the ASAP Nominating Committee, and is on the AD Hoc Committee for Membership Participation.Janet also serves on the Sensory Integration and Global Network and is on the Editorial board of Journal of Occupational Therapy, Schools, & Early Intervention.
On the state level she volunteers her time as the President of the New Hampshire Occupational Therapy Association, served on the BOD for the NH Autism Society, and participates in several community fundraisers. Janet also enjoys teaching, lectures locally and around the country, and is adjunct faculty at the University of New Hampshire.
In addition to her, numerous accomplishments Janet was awarded the Occupational Therapy Practitioner of the year for the state of New Hampshire in 2003.In her free time, when she is not running the clinic, mentoring or running the catalog company, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to the beach, scrap booking, skiing, and reading non-professional books.
Meet our director, coordinators, and therapeutic staff
MARISA BERLIN, OTR/L Director of Clinical Services Marisa joined Kidz Play PTC's in June 2005 and assumed the Clinical Director position in June 2006. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 with her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. Marisa is SIPT certified and has 10 years of experience in many different areas of practice. She has had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in many areas of occupational therapy including adult and pediatric rehabilitation, school based therapy, and sensory integration theory and treatment. She currently lives locally with her husband and daughter. Her interests include reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Shannon joined Kidz Play in 2001 and assumed the role of clinical coordinator at the Concord facility in November 2008. She is a 1997 graduate from the University of New England in Biddeford Maine. Shannon has over 13 years of experience in pediatrics. She has recieved extensive training in Craniosacral Therapy and has served as an assistant teacher for the Upledger Institute. In addition, she has recieved formal training from Dr. Svetlana Masgutova in the Masgutova Method of Neuro-Sensory-Motor and Reflex Integration, and she is working towards becoming a Core Specialist with the Masgutova Educational Institute. Shannon runs the Torticollis program for Kidz Play; she throughly loves her work and we are pleased she is able to offer both traditional and non traditional physical therapy techniques into her treatments. Her practice interest areas are: Reflex Integration, Craniosacral Therapy, Torticollis, Club Foot, Autism, Cerbral Palsy, Attachment issues, and PTSD. Outside of work Shannon's greatest joy comes from spending time with her son, volunteering at her church and son's school and spending time with her friends and family.

Justine Barrett, MS, OTR/L Occupational Therapist: Londonderry Justine joined the Kidz Play team in March 2008. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in September 2007 with a masters degree in Occupational Therapy and a minor in disability studies. Lacey Hargbol, MS, OTR Occupational Therapist_Concord Lacey joined the Kidz Play team in January 2009.She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2008 with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a minor in psychology. In her free time, Lacey enjoys boating, waterskiing, snowmobiling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
BRYN HAZELWOOD, MS, CCC-SLP Speech Language Service Coordinator Bryn is a speech-language pathologist who joined Kidz Play in 2004.She is an undergraduate of Wheaton College in Illinois and received her Master?s degree from Boston University in 2002.She has treated children in outpatient clinic and public school settings.She enjoys the team approach to therapy at Kidz Play for the maximum therapeutic benefit that it brings. Lynda joined the Kidz Play Staff in 2003. She's responsible for managing the front office staff and over seeing all the matters involved with insurance and billing. Also as the Administrative Director she looks to keep the office running smoothly. In her free time Lynda enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing and scrapbooking.
